Bulgaria has been undergoing a transition from a state-controlled
socialist economy to an open market since 1989. Recently, main economic
indicators have stabilized, and Bulgaria will likely join the EU in
2007. Currently the EU is investing millions of Euros in the Bulgarian
infrastructure and in enhancing tourist attractions. For now, Bulgaria
is one of the least expensive countries in Europe, making investment
now an attractive option.

citizens can buy already both buildings and land in Bulgaria personally

The annual taxes for a home in Bulgaria is not expensive
- between 50 Eur and 200 Eur per Year depending on the property.
